Berthoud was nice... is here to lament the loss of our town's character and call out the profiteering developers who are strip-mining our community.

Berthoud was nice. It was a quiet refuge nestled between the bustling cities of the Front Range—a place where you knew your neighbors and could still see the stars. Now it's become a feeding ground for "build fast, cash out" developers who descend like locusts, extract maximum profit, and leave us with their suburban sprawl legacy.

We process our grief through dark humor and surreal imagery. When reality becomes absurd, sometimes absurdity is the only honest response. These scenes aren't just art—they're our way of bearing witness to what we're losing, one McMansion at a time.

Welcome to our gallery. Berthoud was nice—and maybe, if we shine enough light on the absurdity, we can help it remember what made it nice in the first place.
